For the application and defense of the doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Sarajevo, in addition to the general rules established by the Law and the rules of the University of Sarajevo, the procedure must be performed in accordance with the Rulebook on submitting and accepting doctoral dissertations at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo.

Also, doctoral dissertations, as well as master's theses, must be harmonized with the Rulebook on the structure and content of doctoral dissertations and master's theses at ETF-Sarajevo.
